Session 15: The Theorphiliam Mysteries

General Summary

On the eve of the festival, the entire council met up at the Huntress. The Huntress was nearly at max capacity with visitors from nearby towns as well as acquaintances from the large cities such as the Leonin band "Wild Paws". Makar hailed the council as he set up a table for them and began serving Capiris, ale along with ham and cheese. Fyx spent some of his time playing for the crowd and taking breaks back at the table. The council took this opportunity to relax.
After a couple of hours, Fyx and Kadmos notice a group of people at the entrance who were dressed in odd-looking robes. Fyx recognized the robes as Meletis attire and hailed Nir. Nir went to receive the guests and found Evagoras, Sophos and Charis. After greeting each other, Nir brought the guests to the council's table. The conversation was mostly small talk as the council didn't want to discuss anything sensitive in a public setting. After a lot of drinks, food and banter, some of the council retired to their beds while Fyx remained at the Huntress playing all night long.
In the morning, the main plaza around the Archeios was buzzing with stalls selling festival goods, food and drinks. The Huntress set up an exterior counter where they were roasting and selling boar meat along with Capiris. There's also a huge stage near the Huntress performing several plays along the day where Fyx would also play music using play interludes. Everyone was having fun with the festival games. Most popular of all was the climb of the Archeos where people raced to see who would climb the highest. The council also participated in the festival and games. During one of the breaks, both Fyx and Kadmos notice a young woman in a dark brown cloak with tattoos over her face. Kadmos approaches her and realizes it's Kira, she's eating a leg of ham while talking with one of the wolves and a woman selling the cured meat.
Kira explains that she woke up a few hours ago and since the door was closed, she climbed out of the window. She's loving the festival and was quite hungry when the wolf offered her some ham. Kadmos mentioned that he had lots of questions but they should find the rest of the council first. Offering to pay for the ham, the woman refused payment, saying that it was on the house given that the wolf had saved her family. With that, Kadmos gave the wolf the name of Sweet Ham.
Kadmos easily spotted all the council members (they stand out a bit in the crowd). One by one he found them and they all decided not to discuss details during the festival but rather just enjoy it a bit and then talk in private. There wasn't much pressing on the council's mind, with Kira awake, the wolves being allies of Andrios and being accepted by the people, the city safe for now from the cultists, Venat's warning not seeming urgent, and cool new tattoos, the council was able to relax. As so, the council continued to enjoy the festival, finally being able to relax after some of the most stressful weeks since they took over as council members.
A few hours later, as the festival began to wind down, there was a commotion at the base of the Archeos. Approaching, the council notices that there's someone on the floor injured. Kaliaros does a quick examination and concludes that the young teenager has two dislocated knees and a broken femur. The people around say he fell from the Archeos but his fall wasn't dampened. The council rush the teenager to the House of Healing. Meanwhile, Kira is staring at the tree and proclaims that something is wrong. As the council leave for the House of Healing, grey leaves begin to shower from the Archeos.
