Merchant League
Those in the Merchant League, the organization the runs the economy in Ishedore, have been demanding for some time that Ishedore remain a slavery nation, arguing that the economy is built on slave labor and that removal of such would collapse trade. Further, they do not want to join the Second Slavery War, believing it would be bad for business. It is rumored that many members are hoping that Ishedore might benefit from the war by becoming the new center for slavery.
