Ishedore

A bitter trading monarchy looking for more land and power, many of its powerful citizens want more than the sea ports. Often raiding and stealing from Chadavar, many of its people have no qualms about taking drastic or unlawful action. In fact, this is one of three nations left that still openly supports and encourage slavery. It is also collapsing under political rifts.

History

Ishedore was first a colony of Gylanese by virtue of the mysterious agreement in 781, known at the Chadavar's Land Agreement. When Gylanese fell, Ishedore declared itself a nation in 1052. Then, in 1054, when one too many border towns had been attacked by Chadavarian natives, Ishedore declared war and marched into Chadavar. At first it looked like Chadavar would fall in a couple years, but they rallied together and began a serious defense of their kingdom. By 1083 most Ishedorians were sick of the war and the nation signed a peace treaty with Chadavar, though raids still occur. Since the Division War in Mel, Ishedore has kept a close watch on events in the western peninsula to see how the things would play out with the slave trade. The recent events with the Slavery War has caused internal political tension between several of the major players in the system: King's Supporters, Merchants League, Church of Roksane, Vizrah's Followers, Iregan University, and the Military.
