Great Wyrm of the Desolation

The legendary Great Wyrm of the Desolation is a Dragon of unknown age and origin. It took up residence on and control of the Isle of the Gods sometime before the first epoch. It would make periodic attacks on the fairlands, shipping routes and caravans. It seemed to draw strength from the Desolation and to be invulnerable all but the strongest attacks.  The Great Wyrm was last spotted fighting Bistan on the Isle in the beginning of the third Epoch.
