Kingdom of Phev
"It's unbelievable. The people of this land could ignore anything if it happened before. I bet I would be invisible if I wore a Theocracy uniform... where could I get such a thing..."The Kingdom of Phev occupies the South-Eastern arm of the Continent of Dane . It is a primarily Elven Kingdom.Taryn Wanderfoot
Structure
Phev is separated into various provinces that were entrusted to the families of the twelve rebels that helped overthrow the Theocracy. They are given the title of Counsellor who is the head of the province and in charge of its affairs, defense, and judication. The King meets regularly with the counselors to determine the needs of his people and how best to guide his land. It is the counselor's responsibility to establish local control of the settlements but most have agreed to to establish "guides" or mayors that are in charge of more local affairs.
Culture
It is the desire of the citizens of Phev to live in peace with their neighbors and toil against a debt they feel they owe. They have adopted a simpler lifestyle and have abandoned most of the cities and fortifications of their previous era. They have returned to nature and the worship of Fol'nor God of the elves or Kartoum Goddess of Nature they embrace the land and protect it fiercly.
Public Agenda
Peace and simplicity
Assets
The Kingdom of Phev has some of the best lands in all of Dane for agricultural uses. They provide a significant amount of the food and to the rest of the continent due to Tern's challenging climate and Jote's dense forests.
History
Phev came from rebellion and the rage of honest and peaceful people. Phev grew from the ashes of the Gosan Theocracy and the Zevalon Dynasty before. When the dynasty fell in the other parts of Dane and the local powers and peoples warred amongst themselves the Dynasty simply receded and entrenched. It became the Gosan Theocracy as Gosan and his elite staged a hostile coup and seized what was left of the Dynasty and declared himself God-Emperor. Gosan was a power-hungry tyrant and pushed often into the other areas of Dane for slaves and resources. The Blainhurst Peaks were the natural battlegrounds between the Theocracy and the other fledgling nations. Years of conscriptions, abuse, and atrocities the citizens toppled the Theocracy with the help of the neighboring kingdoms. The shame that the people who live there carry is so strong that they simply do not acknowledge the times of the occupation and it is forbidden to speak of it. Gosan was an Elf and preferred the elves and thus few other races remain in Phev from those days and the ones who live there now have come since.
Demography and Population
The population is almost entirely elf (96%), with much smaller numbers of humans (2%), halflings (1%) and other races (1%).
Religion
the worship of Kartoum Goddess of Nature and Fol'nor God of the elves are heavily encouraged but not required.
