There are many things, my young prince, that one may never know or at least in my lifetime or yours may never be truly discovered. What you do you plan to discover?— Royal Magus, Edward VonSev'ens, speaking to the soon to be crowned Prince Dominikus
What is Eiria, Stadus, and True Stadus?
Eiria
Eiria being the name of the world and the technicality of everyone who resides on said planet can be considered Eirians. The term Eirian and Eria are often used in reference to the surface world and those who dwell on it. Those who live on the surface do not often refer to themselves as Eirians it is those who reside below the ground in either Stadus or True Stadus often as a derogatory remark.
Stadus
Calling the underground world of Eiria, Stadus, wherein the
Lamia,
Draconian, and
Dwarves reside. Stadusers is the term coined by a lot of Eirian dwellers. The Dwarves and Lamia have few things that reside on the surface of Eiria they still live deep under the ground, while the Draconians hoard various clutches under the surface of Eiria.
True Stadus
The realm of
True Stadus is the home realm of the
Drassi,
True Stadus Born Orcs,
True Stadus Born Draconians, and a few other creatures sealed away by the Eildons and the Elves. A barrier that was powerful enough to stop the Dwarves from tunneling in as nothing made a dent.
The Gate of True Stadus
Hidden behind a sealed door lies the dominant portal that leads to True Stadus. Held within the ruins of the Drassi capitol of
Alari, a place from eons passed. Though these records are gone and unknown to the world of Eiria, parts of the city and the stone door still stand. It has now been moved to the new Drassi capital of
Aren Alari via the old magical arts of
Lady Misery.
This gate saw untold horrors that
Man and
Elf forced upon the Drassi people. The living and the dead shoved through the glimmering portal into the unknown. The Humans and Elves following what they were told by an Eidolon, "Every Drassi must go through." Afraid of messing up they took it as they had to get them all through or it would not rid them of their problem.
Eidolons and Ajatara
Created by the Unknown One the
Eidolons are their children, each given life and a form for what they can control on the plane of Eiria. They have an almost a Demigod sort of power, able to be killed but unlimited power within their domains. They reside within the realm known as Ajatara, though they are known to come down from their plane to the mortal world. Eidolons themselves are neither good nor evil: they sit more in a spectrum of a grey zone, granted that doesn't mean they do not lean closer to one side or the other of the spectrum.
The realm of Ajatara is a plane of floating chunks of lands with the largest being held by certain Eidolons. Each Eidolon controlled island is shaped and cultivated by them and made to look how they want. The main islands are connected by bridges that sway and move with the floating of the islands. While the central meeting island is a grand palace with a temperate climate, if a mortal has stepped onto this plane it would likely be within the halls of this palace. That is to say, it isn't unknown for Eidolons to bring mortals to their home islands of Ajatara.
The Planes
There are three planes to the world of Eiria. Ajatara the place of the Eidolons, Eiria/Stadus the surface world and the underground world, True Stadus the place where a few Eidolons locked away the Drassi and others who sided with them. While loosely connected they are each on separate planes with the mortal world considered Eiria, Stadus, and True Stadus as of now there isn't a way for mortals to get to Ajatara without the help of an Eidolon.
