Battle of Giantstride Forest

The Battle of Giantstride Forest was a battle in the War of the Storm that took place from November 16th to 19th of 993 at the outer edges of Giantstride Forest. It was fought between an alliance of seven Vundkragi battalions, the Red Dawn, the Laurels, and Morivarg's Quintet, and an alliance of six members of the Creed Under the Coming and Eternal Storm, members of a cloud giant clan, and members of a hill giant clan.
The battle was preceded by multiple giant attacks on local villages, and confirmed a suspected alliance between these giants and the Creed. It ended around 11am on November 19th with a formal surrender by the Vundkragi alliance. Total casualties numbered approximately in the high 6000s. It was described as the bloodiest battle of the war and was marked to be the one easiest to accept as legitimate by all of the kingdom, referred to colloquially even today as "the real one."
