Hemejdd
"No matter who you are or how brief your walk in its wide streets, a hundred banners will fly over your head in the wind, you will find a temple filled with joyful song on every corner, and once you've reached your destination, you will feel, perhaps inexplicably, that you've lived through a story. The City of Gods is a place that, once you've been there, takes root in your heart and never truly leaves."
Hemejdd is the capital city and seat of the king of the country of Jeltir, currently King Talesan Fairfell. It is built on Mount Di'una, the highest point in the country, overlooking the Valley of the Meydra.

Defences
Hemejdd is nestled defensibly at the edge of a sheer drop, with most of its walls practically accessible only by navigation of narrow bridges from other points on the mountainside. The city is considered nigh impregnable.
Industry & Trade
Living in Hemejdd is considered somewhat expensive. Its industry is developed, mainly in the areas of medicine, food, education, and tourism. Most foods and herbs used in its dishes and medicines are grown in the various hamlets located close to the city walls.
Infrastructure
Hemejdd's famous Walk of the Divines has open-air temples of similar styles to every good and neutral-aligned Meydra, leading to a grand shrine to Evendur at the highest point in the city. The Walk of the Deserters runs on a lower ridge in the city, featuring statues of every evil-aligned Meydra. This walkway offers the chance to renounce the deeds of each Meydra depicted there. Vandalism of these statues is allowed and even encouraged, and each's face is covered in a cloth called a feldisav, or "veil of shame."
