Indrina Savoy
Indrina Savoy was a powerful half-elf wizard who lived in Gaulvista in the EC 4100s. She was born to and raised by an elvish mother, but met her father in early adulthood, thereafter using his surname. Her father was a sorcerer, and though she had not inherited his magic and was still a novice in her wizarding exploits, she adventured with him for a few years before he retired. Her first solo campaign launched her into the public eye, and about ten years later she created the spell intellect fortress, although one of her colleagues successfully stole the credit for this for several years. In the end this colleague became her husband, some time after admitting to the fraud.
Indrina had Greywall Tower built in the wilds of Gaulvista, and lived there until her death. The tower remained in her family until the Great Shadow. During the catastrophe, her descendant who still resided there perished while shut inside, and her other surviving descendants, the rightful owners, were not tracked down until some years after the end of the Shadow, at which point they gifted it to the king at the time, Gelefris Ashamë. A few years later, construction of the city of Highcrest began around the tower.
