The Guardians of Banemarsh
The Guardians of Banemarsh were an adventuring party mostly active in Avera in the late EL 960s. Their name refers to their work to defeat a band of marauders active in the northern marshes of Tresstyria early in their careers. They arrived in Talazic in late 969 and quickly became famous in central Jeltir. In 971, they embarked on an exploratory journey in the Tors, from which they never returned.
Sumiko Matsuda
Sumiko was a human samurai who studied at the prestigious Kakuto School of Combat in eastern Avera. Little else is known of her; reports consistently uphold that she was cautious and withdrawn, not speaking much. However, she accompanied the Guardians on all their known missions.
Ellis Orvem
Ellis was a human scout, assumed to be from somewhere in Avera, perhaps the kingdom of Nerala or Pova-Mat. He acted as the party's eyes and ears as they journeyed through the wild, and seemed to be their de facto leader. Rumors exist of a relationship between him and Immith.
Karash Splitscar
Karash was a half-orc barbarian of the Splitscar tribe in northern Tresstyria.
Arumawann Strimp
Arumawann made the acquaintance of the Guardians on their voyage to Talazic. A bard originally from Merriwich, he offered to contribute magic to the party. Reportedly, they were at first averse to the idea, but by the time the party reached Talazic, it was clear he had quickly become an integral part of it.
Immith of Till
Immith was a human of the small Jeltiri village of Till. She joined the party at first merely as a hireling to guide them through lands unfamiliar to them, but quickly proved herself as a ranger and officially joined the party shortly before they journeyed to the Tors.
