HB Session 12: Weekend at Harold's
General Summary
Month 6, Week 2, Year 924
The Holy Boaters quickly wrapped up their business with the Cacio and Pepe, taking everything except for the crew and ship planks in their successful bounty. Frogerto Froggelini, knowing that his failure to deliver the shipment of magic items from Rakka would be a death sentence back in Sardivelia, decided to sail south towards Myltev to join the Lead Kings in their territorial ambitions. A third of the Cacio's crew decided to join him, the other two-thirds sailed north towards Nekutalin at Cpt. Dolooloobogg's urging. It took just a couple days for the party to sail to Noggin, where Sarek hoped to intercept a couple members of the Vivaldi Family and retrieve a magic item they stole from him. Noodles used the free time to study the magic items seized from the Cacio and Pepe, intrigued by the fact that many of them dated back to the 1st Cycle and the age of the Dragon God-Kings. Yel'ah appeared sullen and distant even when the party docked at the Treeleaf Union's capital, still reeling from the separation of him and his magic shield. Summertime was supposed to be a time for celebrating and letting loose, so the Boaters were more than disappointed to find the students with their noses in books and listless music playing from the bars. At least they managed to get a local's tour of the city: Clover introduced them to her favorite squirrel on campus, and Shazir and Muireann took a romantic tour of a museum near the docks dedicated to the Sunken God's Reign of Terror. To liven up the nightlife Muireann put on a show at Bilbo's tavern, painting the town red with the students and her yuan-ti officers and enjoying a night on land to the fullest. The hangover didn't hit until the next afternoon, when a mysterious halfling named Nebin asked to interview all of the Boaters' officers. Thankfully his questions stayed far away from anything pirate-related, but he did make some inquiries about the party's connections to Argus. It turns out the bugbear had a three-year gap in his resume that they couldn't explain, and the Boaters didn't have any explanation for them either. The party did obtain some valuable intel about their recent collaborator: it turns out the old pirate was the scion of a powerful clan of bugbears back in Hedgpeth! Further inquiries would have to wait, in the meantime the party was ready to strike against Sarek's prey as the Vivaldis docked in the harbors of Noggin later that night...
