Investigator Valen Elmwood
Investigator
Valen is an investigator with the Order of the Shield, based in Kureta City. She is fairly new to the role, previously working as a record keeper in the Order's HQ.
Valen is incredibly proud of her position, and takes her job very seriously. She speaks very eloquently and often takes jokes the wrong way.
She has raven black hair (which is kept out of her face with hair clips), brown eyes, and fair features. She wears a mix of simple blue and black clothing, with a long black cloak.
As with all investigators, she carries a magical notebook which records everything she writes in the archives at the Order of the Shield HQ.
During her very first case investigating strange goings on in Chimuk, Valen was taken captive and locked up in Chimuk's prison. She was rescued by The Unlikely Association, and helped them to bring down a new cult that was forming in the village.
Since then, Valen had been sent to Bounty Mine to investigate disturbances in the mine. The dwarves were not happy that such a fresh-faced investigator had been dispatched however, and denied her access. Not too bothered about this, Valen spent her time waiting in the Order's base where she bumped into The Unlikely Association once more. The adventuring party were able to deal with the beast (which turned out to be an Earth Dragon) and travelled back with Valen to the capital, where she currently resides.
