Anik Skar (a.k.a. Nick Scratch)

Anik Sar is the thoughtful and introspective son of Lior Ben Asher and an Atsilv Aniyvwiya woman. Raised by his mother in a community that valued tradition and humility, Anik grew up distant from the grandeur often associated with his father’s name. His upbringing, rooted in respect for the natural world and a life of simplicity, allowed him to avoid the pitfalls of arrogance or ego. However, it also left him with a drive to make his own name, seeking to define himself beyond his lineage. Anik developed a deep love for history, spending his days immersed in research and the study of ancient texts and stories. His role as a historian gives him the perfect outlet to explore the past and unravel the mysteries of those who came before. Alongside his scholarly work, Anik finds passion in photography, using it as a way to capture both fleeting moments and the enduring beauty of the world around him. His approach to both history and photography reflects his desire to preserve and reinterpret life’s intricate layers, all while remaining grounded. Though he has always been aware of the weight of his father’s legacy, Anik enjoys a close and meaningful relationship with Lior Ben Asher. His father, long misunderstood and no longer holding to his old persona, is a source of quiet wisdom in Anik’s life. The exaggerated tales surrounding Lior have little bearing on their bond, which is based on mutual respect and understanding. Anik also shares a strong connection with his half-brother Freyr Vard, often collaborating on intellectual pursuits, while still following his own path to carve out a legacy independent of his lineage.
