Galleytown

Galleytown is a town both ancient and brand new. It was founded around the 400s (700 before guildfall) around the growing headquarters of the Little Warriors Adventurers Guild, and at first it prospered greatly from the patronage of the guild and the easy access to offworld markets. By 400 B.GF however, the town was in rapid decline. The neighbouring nation of Braeland was falling apart. As the guild grew more wealthy and powerful, inflation crept in and prices for offworld good skyrocketed. Eal, Tanquary and Tokmor were trading between each other just fine with no need for access to the guild's increasingly overpriced (albeit powerful) magical items and other luxuries. And the guild began building more and more of their critical infrastructure within the Hall itself.

The final straw came in the late 700 AE / early 400 BGF, with the closure of the Tomfoolery Inn and the disappearance of its proprietor, Tara Mills. After the shuttering of the inn, the populace scattered back to towns and baronies in Braeland and Pizol, and the docks were left abandoned.

Since Guildfall, the town has made a resurgence as locals seek to profit off the guild's misadventures and new reliance on the world of Elanora - and shelter under their protection, as the guild does at least offer honest pay for honest work and a degree of safety from Fangflower slavers or Braeland press gangs.
