Tarveldin
Observe my dance, and understand - rest brings no true peace. Only in change. Only in twilight. Only in my dance.
Tarveldin (of the Trisolune, the Peaceweaver, the Dancer) is the peacekeeper of the Trisolune, as they hold the balance between their siblings. When the worlds were new and the conflict between Teverius (the moon) and Tymera (the sun) spilled into the Material Plane, Tarveldin, their sibling, leapt forth, creating the veil of twilight that separates the two. On the first twilight, Tarveldin held the attention of the two with a breathtaking dance. They frolicked across mountains and lakes alike, their footsteps leaving behind patches of darkness while their hands dusted the treetops with light that burned gold to silver. All were silent in their wake, entranced, and for the first time since the beginning, Teverius and Tymera beheld each other with kindness and understanding. Through this intervention, Tymera's wrath at Teverius' mercurial nature was tempered, for as long as Tarveldin promised their dance at sunset and sunrise each day. Thus, they hold the power of the Trisolune in balance, empowering their clerics and paladins to act as a shield against unwarranted godly wrath.
Tarveldin is well-known for their girdles in multiple colours. When they wear their belt of purple and pink, Tymera will pull at the girdle as Tarveldin dances past, leaving behind a band of these colours on the horizon. Teverius does the same when Tarveldin wears a belt of orange and damson, leaving behind yet another band of those colours. A consummate professional, Tarveldin waits until their dance is done to retrieve their belts, as to interrupt their dance would be to invoke their siblings' wrath.
The radiance of their siblings' wrath left a scar on the lands of the material plane. The creatures and plants of the night were burnt by Tymera's visage, while Teverius' struck fear in the creatures and plants of the day. During their twilight dance, Tarveldin soothes all these hurts, beckoning the creatures and plants to safety upon the change of light. All are renewed by their presence, falling into the slumber that restores all.
