The Sunfist

The Sunfist is the legendary plate gauntlet of Breac Sunfist. It is constructed of the same blessed mithril-cobalt-chardalyn alloy as the rest of his armor, made with a smelting technique taught to him by Damien Ironbrand who was beginning to teach him the means of constructing shield tokens when the guild fell.

On the back of the gauntlet is Breac's holy symbol. Made of rough iron, it is of distinctly lower quality make than the rest of his equipment. Legend has it this was the first item Breac ever forged, created for a friend on his distant homeworld. It is heavily scratched and dented, but any attempts to add new scratches fails as the metal has become impossibly hard. This symbol is also hard to duplicate - anyone who tries to copy either the sun symbol itself, or the imprint it leaves, always misses some detail, either a minor scratch or the shape of an indentation. Several master forgers and illusionists have tried to copy this symbol, and there is a running competition in the Little Warriors Adventurers Guild as to who can get the closest. The current record is held by Polina "Reason" Mikalan. The attempt was made 112 years ago and was perfect other than one angle on the shape of the indent on the bottom of the rim.
