Starting Wealth
As a barbarian, you begin play with 3d4x10 gp in addition to the equipment from your background.Rage
1st-Level Barbarian FeatureYou can fly into a rage a certain number of times each day. In a rage, you ignore the Fatigued condition and you temporarily gain a +4 bonus to Strength, a +4 bonus to Constitution, a +2 morale bonus on Wisdom saves, and a +2 Morale bonus on Charisma saves, but you take a -2 penalty to Dodge. You gain 2 hit points and maximum hit points per level while raging, but these hit points go away at the end of the rage. While raging, you cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills except for Acrobatics, Intimidate, and Ride, you cannot use any abilities that require patience or concentration, nor can you cast spells, manifest powers, or activate magical or psionic items that require a command word or thoughts, a spell trigger, power trigger, spell completion, or power completion to function. You cannot use any active feat you have except for Combat Expertise, but you can still benefit from passive feats such as Combat Reflexes or Attack of Opportunity. A fit of rage lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + your newly improved Constitution modifier. You may prematurely end your rage at any time. At the end of a rage, you gain a level of Fatigue until you spend a number of rounds outside of combat equal to how long you raged.
A barbarian can fly into a rage only once per encounter. Entering a rage takes no time itself, but you can only enter a rage on your turn, not in response to someone else’s actions.
When you reach 11th level, you instead gain a +6 bonus to Strength and Constitution, and a +3 Morale bonus on Wisdom and Charisma saves. At 20th level, you instead gain a +8 bonus to Strength and Constitution, and a +4 Morale bonus on Wisdom and Charisma saves.
Fast Movement
2nd-Level Barbarian FeatureYour land speed is faster than the norm for your race. You gain an Enhancement bonus to your speed, as shown on Table: Barbarian Features. If you wear armor or you are Weighed Down or Encumbered, you lose this extra speed. You can benefit from this feature while carrying a shield.
Danger Sense
3rd-Level Barbarian FeatureYou are tuned to the world around you and your senses allow you to react even before you fully understand what is happening. You gain an Enhancement bonus as shown in Table: Barbarian Features on Dexterity saves made to avoid effects that you can see, such as traps and spells. Some supernatural traps and effects may not be visible and thus you gain no benefit from this feature. To gain this benefit, you can’t be blinded, deafened, or incapacitated.
Defensive Dodging
5th-Level Barbarian FeatureYou can no longer be flanked, and no creature can backstab you unless that creature has at least 4 more rogue levels than you have barbarian levels. If the creature has no class levels, instead use their HD to determine if they can backstab you.
Tough Hide
7th-Level Barbarian FeatureYour very flesh has grown tougher and more powerful. You gain a +1 Natural Armor bonus to PAC. At 10th level, and every three barbarian levels thereafter (13, 16, and 19th level), this bonus increases by 1.
Tireless Rage
17th-Level Barbarian FeatureYou no longer become fatigued at the end of a rage.
