Yu Lung
Yu lung, also known as carp dragons, are dragons that are found in the lakes and rivers of Lungao.
Description
The smallest of the lung dragons, yu lung only grow to about 35 feet in length—though such a large size is rare and they tend to reach about 18 feet on average. Their body and tail are similar in appearance to those of a giant carp. They have blue-gray scales with colored markings. Their eyes are yellow and look like a cat's eyes. Their two arms are tipped with sharp claws and have strong webbing between the claws. A long "beard" made up of two sinuous tentacles flow from under their snout.Personality
Yu lung are docile, shy, and withdraw. They are friendly toward other aquatic species, and will even befriends humans .Combat
Yu lung lack the ability to polymorph self and cast invisibility upon themselves, abilities other lung dragons possess. The only innate magical abilities a yu lung possesses are the ability to bless and curse, which they can cast three times a day. Once a day, they have the ability to exhale a cloud of gas, with a diameter of up to 10 feet. This gas cloud has the same effect as a potion of healing.Ecology
These dragons are primarily scavengers, preferring to eat both organic and inorganic matter at the bottom of lakes and rivers. They will occasionally eat fish. Yu lung are able to breathe water but can only breathe air for up to an hour at a time. They are strong swimmers and can also travel on land by dragging themselves with their powerful arms and claws, albeit for limited distances. The dragons live in mansions of mud and stone on a riverbed. Unlike other dragons, a yu lung does not collect treasure.Celestial Bureaucracy
The yu lung have no official position in the Celestial Bureaucracy. As a result, humans give it no offerings or worship. WHen a yu lung reaches adulthood, they metamorph into another lung dragon. It is unknown what subspecies of lung dragon they will change into. This process occurs exactly at midnight after reaching the age of one hundred and one years old. They are then assigned their duties by the Celestial Bureaucracy depending on what subspecies they morphed into. This is a stub
