Craftport by AuthorChase on Inkarnate

Craftport was one of the first built settlements in Astnyr since Knowler appeared in the region. Beight and Carpenters built the buildings, clerical infirmaries, and temples. Many Light Paladins and Healing Clerics stayed behind in Craftport to help the civilians who stayed there as well.

History

Beight by AuthorChase on Heroforge
During her pilgrimage to expand Astnyr, Beight constructed Craftport. For some centuries, it was a simple village that housed Paladins and Clerics. However, the construction of Seaport turned it into a trading site that extended from the island city. People of all trades came to Craftport to hone their craft, and the Paladins and Clerics helped house and protect the new villagers. When the Humans migrated to Astnyr, the village became larger, populating 15,000 citizens daily.   Craftport was the most profitable village in all of Astnyr, with the villagers helping travelers along with good trade and exports to Seaport.

Government

With Craftport's connection with Seaport, there extended the trade city's taxation. Money the citizens and military received were from Seaport's coffers to help circulate trade within the realm. Beight visited occasionally to confirm that everything was progressing smoothly and helped the citizens in repairing and refurbishing their houses and stores when they were damaged. This was like the other villages in Astnyr.

Defenses

Craftport's defenses primarily involved the Light Paladins and Healing Clerics. There were no walls or technology that defended the citizens of the trading village. However, there was no need, since the military had the use of holy magic from both parties. Light Paladins went into the front line while Healing Clerics were in the back. Luckily, they defended Craftport from both Lunarius and Morana so far. But there may be a time when their defenses failed.

Points of Interest

There were some shops that became famous throughout generations. A man named Gregory Hansford founded one of these shops. This was after Humans migrated to Astnyr. Gregory found success by brewing and selling potions that helped the general public. This shop was passed down and the present owner was Alexa Silverwind, wife of Eldin Silverwind and mother of Lyria and Ladric Silverwind.

There were three clerical infirmaries in Craftport. Two of them were stationed in the left borders of the town, while one was at the north-eastern border.

National Trade

Craftport traded with all cities of villages of Astnyr along with Seaport. However, Ironhammer became resistant to trade and stopped altogether. This meant weapons were not being transported to Craftport, leaving Light Paladins and Healing Clerics without maintence of weapons along with new ones.

Lyria Silverwind

Lyria Silverwind by AuthorChase on HeroForge

Craftport was the birth place of Lyria Silverwind, eldest daughter of Alexa and Eldin Silverwind. She first became a Healing Cleric like her father, but after her little brother Ladric died from the Decaying of Bones, she resigned. The half-elven woman felt dejected and she could not save her brother. So instead, she played his favorite instrument to the local tavern, the violin.   One day during such a performance, a badger walked into the tavern. This was a mysterious occurence, with the badger transforming into the Goddess, Sonance. She snuck out of Singing Glades to speak to her chosen, Lyria. From that day forth, Lyria was a Song Bard with some holy magic in her arsenal along with charm magic.   Lyria found Eldrinor in the ruins of Magick Glades, beginning a journey she was destined to walk.
