Davryn went on a mission with Thalia Fannorin and Mia Whitstone to investigate a town that had become abandoned. Upon investigating, they discovered that a woman had visited and offered power in exchange for the people of the village. They fought nightmarish creatures that projected terrors into their minds, but found out that these nightmarish creatures were once the citizens of the town.
Davryn eventually met and joined up with Anise Xenakis and Shenoa Steelheart and they traveled together, eventually happening upon Wakefield. While trying to help the town, eventually the town was under attack during the Battle of Wakefield and the party was alerted to a looming threat.
The party came in contact with magical stones that were related to the Leylines, and wanting to understand these more, Davryn and Chum tried to learn more about them, causing a magical explosion in their headquarters in Old Town, which was Arthur Hightower's old home. The explosion destroyed the terrace, as well as causing a potentially permanent anti-magic sphere.
Davryn attempted to read a journal of an archlich Azreith, and as such caused him to lose a spell from his own spellbook, replaced with a necromantic spell. He also was possessed temporarily by what is assumed to be the archlich, and blew a necrotic air into the lungs of a shopkeeper and killed him.
As such, he may be stopped by the Church of Meloria at any point if they knew of his condition, at least until he can fix it.

Personal history
Davryn Hightower is the firstborn of Catherine and Luther Hightower. He was raised in the Hightower Hotel like the rest of his cousins and eventual siblings. However, as Davryn grew older and his mother attempted to teach him how to run and manage the hotel, he grew dissatisfied. He wanted to be like the important people, especially the wizards, who came to stay at the hotel. He admired that they got to travel wherever they wanted and forge their own destinies. So, against his mother's wishes and with the half-hearted approval of his father, he pursued an arcane education, and set his sights on his dream of becoming one of the most powerful mages in history.
