Red Threads

"You seem t'have turn'd down tha wrong alley, friend. Let me help ye find yer way back. Now, in return for my services as a 'guide,' empty yer pockets. Now, now, don't resist. Ye can empty yer pockets, or I can empty yer gut. Yer choice." - Red Thread footman

Structure

From the outside, the gang doesn't seem to be overly organized. There is the leader, Gregor the Louse, and his underlings. No need to overcomplicate things.

Culture

As this organization was founded to enrich the lives of the peoples living in The Fringe, their number one priority is providing for their neighbors. The Fringe has traditionally been disenfranchised through governmental neglect, the properties are subpar, the jobs are few and far between and any job you are able to find will most likely be menial labor. This poverty has driven the peoples of The Fringe to be self-reliant and mistrustful of outsiders.

This self-reliance is evident in the actions of the Red Threads and, having been carried forth to the extreme, their blatant disregard for any laws imposed upon them from authorities outside The Fringe. Though they scoff at the law and their methods are geared toward efficiency, they are only lethal when they have to be. Granted, each individual member's threshold for 'necessary brutality' may vary.

Public Agenda

To increase the standard of living in The Fringe from that of the impoverished.

Assets

Publicly the organization's assets are unknown.

History

Following his first incarceration for burglary, Gregor the Louse was filled with discontent at his plight. Stealing to survive was no way to live. Having gone to bed with an empty stomach more than once, he vowed to not only end his suffering but the suffering of those he sees as his people.
