Terra

Great Mother Tera

The first of the Secondary Gods, lady of flora and fauna. She is worshiped primarily for her arboreal domains. She is known by other names, like all gods, and is often confused with Myrada. She is primarily worshiped by Druids, Dwarves, and Fae folk now.   Other names include: Zulu, Pachamama, Aranyani, Kishar, Flora, and Ten-Vilu.   Lore recorded of her is consistent with her personality. A patient motherly figure with a soft smile and stern hand. She is fond of the other gods, treating them more like children than equals or greater beings. Like a good mother, she is patient with them and encourages them in their ventures, but not above shaming them and teaching them their lessons when stepping out of line.   She possesses a strong maternal instinct and protective nature toward the life of the universes. She does not create life, but instead tends to the world like a gardener to the grove and a mother to the cradle. She shepherds the flows of magic through the worlds.

Personal history

Terra was born much later than the other secondary gods, her birth fueled by the conditions leading to life on the planets. She watched the barren rock she was born on slowly flourish, covered in all manners of colors and plant life. Carefully, she guided the magic across the planet, influencing the streams to better serve the life that was springing up around her. It was not a drastic change to the world, just optimized chaos.    Over time, the budding life influenced her form, solidifying it rather than remaining in the fluid ethereal form other gods chose to take. As she grew, she discovered by Hecatl, who taught her how to travel between the dimensions. With this knowledge, she shepherded other worlds and eventually met Salvas.    Salvas was eager to have someone to talk to, but could not enjoy the company long. She traveled with Salvas for a time, doing her best to alleviate the deep loneliness the being felt. She introduced Salvas to Hecatl, hoping to bring more companionship to the god, but the wandering natures did not match up.    Then the other three began to influence the humans of the various worlds. She smiled and nodded at Atlor when he presented his creations to her, like a mother looking at their child's pictures done with her makeup instead of his crayons.   Her tolerance changed when she ran into Salvas again. Salvas continued to move, though every life lost to the experiments seemed to cause them physical and emotional pain. More and more often she found Salvas huddled in tears.    She took Atlor by the hand and showed him what their meddling was doing to Salvas. Since the pact and Salvas' splitting, she accepted Atlor's courting in earnest. The pinnacle of their bonding being the dwarves. After their necessary deed to bring balance back to Eldris, she coaxed her husband into granting the dwarves true life as a reward.    Despite the pact, she does meddle in mortal affairs, restoring crops or granting bountiful harvests if properly worshiped. She does not accept sacrifices of flesh, but vastly enjoys the various fermented drinks, as all of the gods enjoy. Her favorite is the grain alcohol.
