Erzu Lingenhall

A young, seemingly stressed Gnome who used to be a veteran within The Golden Griffon Adventuring Company. He seems to be very careful in his chosen actions and seems to think his next few steps through carefully before taking them.
Now, as a retired adventurer, Erzu is looking for work as well as a new purpose in life.

Personal History

Erzu was born to Erser and Orbi Lingenhall in the outskirts of Arcwood. As he reached adulthood Erzu took on a job as a private investigator where a trail of missing human women in the Arvendon area of Elladonia lead to a human noble named James Stonebeard. Using his investigative talents he learnt that the man was selling young women to a criminal organization known as The Syndicate, but, as Erzu was making plans for how to report this to relevant authorities, his father Erser Lingenhall was murdered by associates of James Stonebeard. Since House Stonebeard now believed that Erzu was dead, Erzu fled to Alterwood to get as far away as possible from James Stonebeard and his associates.
Arriving in Dameril Erzu realised he needed to work to survive, but he found himself surrounded by a strange, human city and did not know where to go. Eventually he found his way to The Golden Griffon Adventuring Company and took up a job as an adventurer.
For many months he remained an adventurer for the Golden Griffon, until one faithful evening where he infiltrated a magical Dark Elven fortress. There, he and his companions faced off with their leader, known as The Daywalker and lost. Rhys Ahnvaer lost his life in this battle, and Erzu was imprisoned alongside his friend Pugnatus Pumanath while Lish "with the fish" managed to escape. A few days later, help came and they were rescued, but the event left a scar on Erzu's heart and he decided to retire his adventuring career in pursuit of a simpler and safer lifestyle.
