Hayley Carter
A young woman living in Redwick, she used to work at Strawberries and Cream until she caught an unknown sickness. She remained home for several months and was still not getting any better. Her husband Grayson Carter was worried sick for her sake but no one who tried to determine what she suffered from managed to figure out what disease that was plaguing her.
Though she recently suffered a miraculous recovery which she claims she owes to a Triton named Pugnatus Pumanath, a man she says she owes her life to.
Hayley herself is a kind and sweet woman who will put the needs of her family before anything else.
Her Sickness
Hayley suffered from a rare, ancient disease called Night Pox but has since been cured. It was a disease that roamed the land in ancient times, no one ever managed to find a cure for it while it was in its prime. But as those who suffered from it died off, people thought it went extinct. Hayley herself or those around her did not know that this is what she suffered from, as there are very few documents documenting the disease. The few documents documenting what she suffers from can be found in the restricted section of large libraries, which the common folk do not have access to. The disease made her weaker, her skin lost its color and it is slowly eating away at her organs, covering them in dark spots. The doctors of ancient times called it the 'Night Pox' due to the organs of those who had died from the disease being black as the night sky. Despite how deadly it is, it had a hard time spreading, and if you ingest bodily fluids from someone infected you have a 50% chance of falling ill yourself. Healing and disease curing magic seemed to have very little effect. It seemed like the magic made her better but she quickly returned to her worsened state within the timespan of 2 minutes. After she was cured of her strange disease, Hayley's son Cole took a great liking to the man who cured her. She grumbled for a long time over how to thank the man and decided to ask him if he was willing to be the godfather of her children. She still does not believe that anything she can ever do will ever make up for the kind and selfless actions of the Triton, but her home will always be open to him.
