House Brightbell

The noble house ruling the area around Willowdale. They get most of their income through taxes, but they also own a series of orchards. They have in for many generations sold a lot of their orchards fine produce to House Rainhall, to be used for making wines and other alcoholic beverages at Rainfield Vineyard.
They are both well-known and respected within the Alterwood and they will not stand for someone speaking ill of their family. Despite that, there have been some nasty rumors spreading among nobles about the murder of Diana Brightbell.
The name Brightbell comes from the flower Brightbell, which is commonly used in potion making. The first Brightbell's were herbalists and alchemists that worked with the crown for generations, and it is said that they always had the most beautiful gardens. After many years of service, they managed to create a rare antidote to a poison the Elladonian king had ingested in an assassination attempt. As a sign of their gratitude, the family was ennobled and granted land under the Duke of Alterwood.
After Willowdale was burnt down, they have spent a large amount of funds to help rebuild it, but the rebuilding project is still expected to last months.
