Arwin Brightbell

A serious and clever man, originally hailing from House Brightfeather. He was married into House Brightbell in his late teens, and integrated rather well into the family. 
He has a reputation of being smart and cunning, and keeps living up to that reputation. Some of the smaller houses fear him with the belief of him being manipulative, while the greater houses respect him for his tactical work in many fields.
After learning of the actions of his daughter Diana Brightbell after her death, he is embarrassed to have brought such a vile woman into existence. As such he is desperately trying to cover up her actions so that the rest of the world will not know, with the hopes of saving the reputation of himself and his family.
