Lord Gilbrand Castasis is the son of one of the wealthiest merchants in the whole city. The Castasis family is known for its shipping business to other cities around the Reyhal River and beyond(Jobrun, Cardona, Jade Fort). They have an entire merchant fleet comprising of about 20 ships that navigate up and down the Reyhal River and even venturing to the Sea of Bisquay where it can access markets of Central and Eastern Iberrios.
For his part Lord Gilbrand Castasis manages the ledgers for his family, and does so with such proficiency, that other merchants and nobles have asked for his assistance with theirs as well. So integral and prodigious is Gilbrand's skill, and function that he has access to the most influential lords and ladies of Loggenspire. It is even said that he has the ear of Lady Felicity Abernith, a beautiful middle aged tiefling, and one of the "Tri-Spire Three." Aside from that he is also a member of the Platinum Patrons, a national merchant's guild, with a base of operations in Loggenspire.
His own networth is unknown to the public, but it is said that he is one of the wealthiest people in one of the richest cities of the continent.
Lord Gibrand Castasis lives in the outskirts of town, with his estate safely nestled within the Forest of Dreams. His estate is simply known as Castasis Compound. Gilbrand purchased both the land and home with his own personal fund, and contracted some of the most brilliant minds to design his house.
Whenever he comes to visit town, which for a man of his stature is every day, he is accompanied by an entourage of his own people.
