Solpit

1. One of the three ancient craters in the Amethyst Isle, created by a fragment of a celestial rock.
   
2. Elven lore states during the time of its collision into the earth, it was the fragment that burned the brightest.
   
3. Upon party investigation, they had found a transparent crystal on the bottom of the pit as well as a Fire Elemental.
   
4. After fending off the Fire Elemental the party the crystal appeared to be absorbing wisps of the creature’s essence, and upon further investigation the Priestess Luna had noticed the fire coalescing into a fire Katana. The Priestess grabbed it, and upon doing so it caused the rock to shatter.

Geography

The Solpit lies within the Correlan Desert and is surrounded by tall sand dunes.

History

After the impact of the meteorite on the Correlan Desert, the Solpit was used as a coal mine, but a strange arcane aura has caused the mine to be abandoned.
