Agar is a satellite town to Illendíl most known for being the home of the Walder Institute.

Government

The town's technically a satellite state of Illendíl, but that does not primarily affect those within the city who seemingly view themselves as civilians of Elloría, rather than any one city. 
The city is officially run by a senate of the most educated members of society, which anyone can join by passing a prestigious exam. It used to be a council of wisepersons, but has become a bloated oligarchy over the years.

History

Following the end of the Centurion Wars, the Kova Vanguard sought to create a hub of knowledge in a multitude of artforms and disciplines including the magical arts, music, and tinkering. Approaching its thousandth year, the town remains a marquee place to study on any topic.

Tourism

Being about a day's travel from Illendíl, many of those who make the pilgrimage there also often visit Agar as well. Although there isn't as much to see and do if you are not participating in the academia, the architecture is wildly unique and brilliant.

Architecture

Unlike anywhere else in Elloría, Agar and specifically the Walder Institute is home to some of the most unique architecture in the lands. Consisting of numerous spires, arches, and domes, typically familiar constructs have been used in an oddity of ways to create a distinctly iconic look.
