Centurion Wars

The Centurion Wars were a series of wars between the smitten Dwarves of Khur Khaldûr and the various kingdoms throughout Elloría.

The Conflict

Prelude

Following The Sack of Babyl, the recently liberated orcs released their decades of frustration and enslavement upon the ancient Dwarven kingdom of Khur Khaldûr in what is now known as the Seige of Centuria. The siege lasted nearly four months and resulted in the murder of Glindul Khaldûr, the death of over 10,000 dwarves, and the ruin of their beloved home, Khur Khaldûr.

The Khaldûrian's spent decades rebuilding their ruined home. All throughout this time, the dwarves grew more and more enraged towards those on the outside who did not send help. This indignation would only serve to fuel thoughts of retaliation towards those who turned their back on them in their hour of need. However, the crumpled kingdom did not  have the necessary forces to take on such a conflict. It wasn't until the creation of the Dwarven Centurion that the remaining folks of Khur Khaldûr could extract their revenge.

Thus providing the necessary might the Khaldûrian's were hoping for...

Deployment

Once the Centurions  were created, the dwarves of Khur Khaldûr marched their forces straight to Babyl- the failed captivity site of the orcs who ruined their home.

Battlefield

The dwarves took the fight straight to Babyl with little to no warning. Having mostly repaired their own city from being sacked by the exiting slave orc force, Babyl would once again find itself the center of yet another battle site.

Outcome

Waring on for many years, the Dwarves of Khur Khaldûr were eventually pushed back to their shattered kingdom and embarrassingly beaten.

Aftermath

This second ruining of Babyl seemed to truly crack the core of its people and leadership. Moving forward, the town sought out a much more, magical and radical approach towards rulership- specifically, the Crimson Council in the House of Blood.
Similarly, the defeat seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for the kingdom at Khur Khaldûr. Since the Siege, the kingdom will unfortunately remain in ruin; victims of a circumstance not of their doing.

Historical Significance

Technological Advancement

Technology was- and mostly has- remained not too intricate. After the unexpected Siege of Centuria, the surviving dwarves obviously grew angry and wanted answers and revenge for why they had not received help for months. In their solitude and rage, the created the greatest single piece of technology to walk Elloría
The Dwarven Centurion singlehandedly kept the dwarves in this fight much longer than they had any right to be. Not only that, but they were able to move on the offense with ease. Not very well researched since their destruction, they were rumored to have been powered through magic and steam power.
Similar "robotics" in the recent ages have been the newly made Warforged.
