The Sack of Babyl
The Sack of Babyl happened when the slave labor orcs of Babyl broke free of their chains and escaped captivity- not before ransacking the city.
The Conflict
Prelude
Following the end of the Abyssal War, the orcs who fought alongside Vúrol were sentenced to forced slave labor for the rest of their lives and their future generations. Many were tasked with the rebuilding of the cities effected from the War. Each town oversaw the repair and capture of their orc labor. This would prove catastrophic for Babyl, who after completion of repairs, used the remaining orc labor for their own gain to work in mines.Battlefield
Conditions
Because the prison break was so surprising and late at night, the forces of Babyl- which were already not the strongest- were caught off-guard and easily broke. It also didn't help that the liberation began from the depths of the cave where there was little communication to the surface.
The Engagement
The orcs slashed and gutted their way up the mine to the surface where they released their rage for the last 260 years of servitude upon the city of Babyl. The city was nearly razed and much like Khur Khaldúr that would follow in the coming years, Babyl would not recover back to its glory.
Outcome
Aftermath
With the chains being broken, orcs were now once again unleashed upon Elloría. Their savage nature would prove catastrophic, as they would cause havoc across the realm, especially the tragic Siege of Centuria.
Historical Significance
Legacy
From this point forward, the kingdoms and people of Elloría took note how such actions were handled and escalated. Slave labor of any kind would never be seen anywhere from then on.
