Snarlgrog Marsh

Snarlgrog Marsh isn’t the most inviting of locations but plays a crucial role with regards to Etrillon. Here, bog and peat are cultivated then harvested for use in the city’s Forgeanvil district. Snarlgrog peat is a prime ingredient in Etrillon Bog Steel with its wave-like appearance to the metal.

However, the marsh is more than just a source of peat. This marsh is a busy place, being home to rock tortoise colonies, bog panthers, and the mysterious figure known as the Marsh Hag or Marsh Sister. The Marsh Sister, one Octavia Branchbone, has her hut in the center of the marsh. Well respected adept at alchemy and potions, she does venture into Etrillon for some seasonal events.

She appears to be a short human woman in her middle years. Yet, I’ve found her exact description as someone from the Snarlgrog in documents going back dozens of generations.

She could be one of the Fey from the Outlands… the stories she might know would be amazing!

Hags are scary. I do not like hags, and those in a swamp are no exception. short and sweet and while id love to know more, i enjoyed it! well done. I particularly like that you list peat as a resource. i feel that is often underused.

Heh, but rumors say the Marsh Sister is such a GREAT conversationalist! :D Really! :D   This is one that has a bunch of items I'm still thinking ... does it go here? or get to be its own article. Octavia Branchbone? Oh yeah, she should be her own.   I'll expand this one as I get all the supporting articles written for it.   And thanks about the use of peat! Yeah, I feel that one should be used way more as a resource! :D
