Cassius Caiaphas

The Chancellor of the Royal Academy of Magic, a wise and powerful wizard. This gray-haired man conceals much of his face underneath his broad hat and the high collar of his cloak, but anyone can feel the magical energy surrounding him even before his authoritative voice echoes around the room. His well-worn, faded clothing are a sharp contrast to his high rank, but reflect his affinity for field work.

• He is good friends with Professor Giorgios and suspects the existence of another advanced civilization besides the Ancients, but is more skeptical about the specifics of the Astrals theory. He has spent many years trying to discover the truth.
• He often leads expeditions away from the Academy for weeks at a time. As one of the few magicians powerful enough to protect a large party, his assistance is almost necessary for trips to the Ruins of Shadow.
• He serves as a royal council member, though his additional responsibilities as chancellor of the Academy also take up much of his time in the city.
