The God in the Pool
The entity known as The God in the Pool lived in a dark pool of water adjacent to the kobold tunnels under the dwarven settlement on Verdant Isle. It is unclear how long it had been there but had clearly taken control of at least elements of the Kobold tribe that lived in the nearby tunnels and had manipulated Dwarves from the settlement above. Including causing one to commit murder.
Eventually The LightBringers travelled back to Verdant Isle to confront The God in the Pool along with Kezahr , Esabel Chantry, and Katya Shadowash . The God in the Pool managed to manipulate several of them, and nearly caused several deaths during the fight. However, it was eventually defeated.
Unfortunately it seems it was able to infect both Essa and Katya with some form of rather virulent disease before dying. Upon examing the defeated corpse, Arkomir Phinan and Kezahr concluded it was an Aboleth.
