The next morning Zara Shadowdancer comes to The LightBringers and tells them Leif is missing and hasn't been seen since the last night.
They go to the Stepping Stones togeher and end up talking to Jasper Birch about where Leif went. They determie there may have been foul play. A fight breaks out between the Lightbringers and Jasper, who turns out to be a fiend. he is eventually defeated and the Lightbringers search his house and tell Zara what has transpired.
