Malik Abdul Hakeem el-Farra
Abdul Hakeem el-Farra was the second son of the second wife of the former Malik of the Bahami Federation. As he grew, competing with his siblings and half-siblings, he managed to distinguish himself to his father's eyes through his brawling and strength over his brothers. Whenever a brawl would erupt among the clan, he would always emerge victorious, even as young as only five years old, triumphing over siblings twice his age. Abdul Hakeem distinguished himself even more among his combat tutors, and while he never bothered to learn how to read or right, he was a fearsome contender in any physical contest. He soon found a place on a privateer crew, even when it was already clear that he was his father's designated successor.
While serving as a corsair, Abdul Hakeem took many prey ships and made a good fortune selling captives into slavery, bringing honor to his family and his djinn. He also survived no less than twenty-three assassination attempts from his various siblings, some of which he slew for their efforts. All of these incidents only endeared him ever more to his father. When Abdul Hakeem turned twenty five in 1034, he challenged his father to a duel for leadership of House el-Farra and the Kingdom of Aljana. His father, knowing the challenge that was offered, accepted and met his own son on the dueling field. Abdul Hakeem emerged triumphant, killing his father in honorable combat, who died with a smile.
Abdul Hakeem became the new Malik, and to date he has found very little of interest in managing a nation. He has chosen to leave most day to day affairs to the Grand Vizier of Aljana, who acts as his head of government when dealing with other emirs and nations. Abdul Hakeem has instead continued his life of raiding and often leads personal raids against Imperial warships and other vessels throughout the Endless Ocean, it is believed that during his six years of reign, he has spent less than two of them at home.
