House el-Farra

House el-Farra is the ruling Bahami House of Aljana. They also have outposts on other, smaller islands to the north of Aljana, which are further ruled by the family. Their leaders are well known for their violence and treachery. They are constantly at each other's throats, and leaders of some of the largest and most vicious raids and sackings of western communities.

Public Agenda

In theory, House el-Farra stands for the preservation of order and peace between the mukarribs of the Bahami Federation. In practice, for the past hundred years, House el-Farra stands for unrelenting war and raids against all shipping. They believe in providing the most dedicated service possible to their djinn, gathering the largest sums of wealth they can. El-Farra is known to be the most ruthless and relentless of raiders in the Emirates.

Assets

House el-Farra has access to the deepest coffers in all of the Bahami Federation, but typically the rulers of the House are loathe to spend them. The more important asset is the Malik's Guard, which acts as some of the best trained melee fighters in all of Emicara. Furthermore, House el-Farra is able to call to arms over one hundred corsair ships from across the islands, that bear the flag of the Federation. In reality, maybe only two thirds of that number would be able or willing to answer an immediate call, but it still represents the single largest fleet in Emicara.

History

House el-Farra came to power in the Aljana Kingdom in 923, following a bloody coup against the old Malik. Promising more lucre and raids, House el-Farra found considerable support among professional corsairs and mercenaries. These corsairs helped to blockade Aljana, and House el-Farra itself became involved in the assault on the Malik's Palace. The malik's men did what they could, but the guards were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of the bloodthirsty mercenaries brought on board by el-Farra. The reigning sultan and his entire family were massacred, with no known survivors. Since then, the members of the house have turned their bloodthirsty ways upon themselves, as they persistently kill and assassinate each other to advance their positions and goals within the family.
