Barren Lake
The Barren Lake is a small lake in the Ravager Plains that earned its name by the strange emptiness of the lakeside coast. It feeds into the Beaver River, ultimately flowing north to the High River and then Sypi River. The lack of any trees and vegetation has always been an odd feature, and many suspect that years of centaur use and development rendered the surrounding hills bereft of support. Only small wildlife exists in the grasses around the lake, which is known to have only a marginal population of fish for fishing. The lack of fish and other game has made this lake very unattractive to would be settlers, seeking a new life in the north.
