King Cecil Durling

Cecil Durling was born to be a king, and he was made well aware of this fact. As a child he was the firstborn of the heir apparent to the young Orrland monarchy, and he was educated by some of the finest minds available in Orrland and by adventurers from around the world. He was most enraptured with the bards and entertainers, taking upon himself to become educated in the use and proficiency with all sorts of musical instruments and techniques. He was even able to capture of the magic of the bards, drawing from the Reservoir with his music. His skill with enchantments and magic through music would serve him well as he negotiated the court of House Durling. 
Cecil avoided several plots by family members to become king, establishing himself through skill in diplomacy. He became king in 1033, following his father's death. Upon becoming king, he has retained his constant focus upon entertainment and the luxuries it creates. He has followed in his father's footsteps in financing the retirement of adventurers to Orrland, and seems dedicated to remaining neutral in the rising tensions between Jakonia and Columba. It is hoped that he will keep the nation out of war, but nonetheless prepared for it.
