Christoffer Partan

Chief Christoffer Partan

Christoffer Partan was the third child of the previous chief, Ivankor. He was not truly considered as a legitimate error to the position, partially due to his order of birth, but also due to being born blind. He found himself ignored by his father for much of his life, left to his own devices and exploration among the people of the tribe. Despite tinkering in a variety of hobbies and professions, he found that he had no true talents for any crafts in particular. When the Sypi Civil War began, he was too young to fight in the conflict, but when his sister fled into hiding due to her Church of the One Sun sympathies, and his brother disappeared in battle, Christoffer became the last scion of the family. His father disappeared after a battle late in the war, in 1026 AF, leading to Christoffer taking up the mantle of chief.   Christoffer led his people through the rest of the war, and has since kept a fairly hands off approach to management. He has done well for the tribe, and encouraged the development of the arts. Some scandal has hung over his head, as he has refused to take on a wife, leading to a lack of any clear heir for his people. There have been encouraging signs lately, as he has fallen in with the mysterious sculptor of The Shape of Truth, the preeminent stoneworking artisan in the Partan Tribe. She has only rarely been seen in public and many assume that she is afflicted by some sort of horrific scar or deformity, as she has never been known to show her face. Christoffer has been seen in her company and often visiting her shop in the evenings and nights.
