Partan
The Partan Tribe is unusual among the Sypi Confederacy as their legends said that they fled from lands in the east, rather than from across the Sypi River. They speak much more of war and chaos, and the eventual rest and civilization that marked their arrival in the Confederacy. The Partan people have learned to respect those who succeed without war, after leaving a blood-soaked trail behind them for decades. They now seek to preserve peace and harmony and are often called upon to mediate disputes between other tribes and factions in the Confederacy.

Culture
Major language groups and dialects
The Partans have adopted Common as their primary language and manner of communication. They retain an accent however, that often reminds people of an orcish or goblin accent, leading credence to the rumors that in the past, the Partans had served alongside various orc hordes and tribes in the east. Some words in Partan slang and language seem to be stolen from goblinspeak, although this could just be from interaction and trade with the Ke'zani and Ke'kaci tribes. Nearly all Partans learn at least one additional language to Common, in order to better facilitate their roles as mediators and traders.
Art & Architecture
The Partans are a solely nomadic people and lack any true presence in the major towns of the Sypi Confederacy. When they do reside in a town, they often rent or purchase a house of another culture's design, rather than building their own. Where the Partans truly excel are in their various translations of other texts from other cultures. They find it useful to learn about other cultures and regularly gather books to aid them in their efforts. From the Partans have come some of the most reliable translations of Nameless Empire works and even writings from the giants and dragons of old.
Ideals
Gender Ideals
The Partans have few expressly stated or mandated gender roles in their society. Men and women serve according to their best ability. Those with great strength or wisdom naturally ascend to the top of the leadership, and chiefs are elected from their people regardless of gender. That said, there are some traditional combat roles that attract in either direction. Men tend to be warriors in the shield wall, while the Partan women tend to ride horses into battle as scouts and support. Partan horse archers are said to be some of the best fighters in the Sypi Confederacy.
Relationship Ideals
Partans believe strongly in the forging power of battle. Though they prefer not to engage in combat, they often find themselves drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Partans rarely fight on their own accord, and even more rarely as a first resort. When they do fight, however, those they fight alongside will soon find themselves a new friend and ally. The Partans believe firmly that you can only truly trust a person when you've seen them fight in battle.
