Chief Dean Travite

Dean Travite grew up as a warrior for the Travite tribe, and he excelled in his studies. He dedicated his life to the study of the martial art, and increasing his own power as a fighter. He acted as a guard for the tribe, and in his youth, defended against attacks from Mikka raiders, and helped deal with the monsters and creatures that would wander south from Yurfac and Twenter territories. He never expected to be chief, but the disappearance of his older brothers on a hunting trip in 1020 AF led him to be next in line, and he began taking fewer chances. Although he made numerous efforts to find his brothers, he was unsuccessful, and when the Sypi Civil War broke out, he ended up on the front line. 
Dean served directly against the Bienombes and their supporters, fighting alongside the Sihka and the Church of the One Sun. He was never a true convert to the faith, being a mostly agnostic individual. He still felt the duty towards his tribe, and refused to abandon his responsibilities. During the war he was a skilled tactician, but ultimately he was hampered by lacking the same amount of warriors and resources possessed by the Bienombes. He was captured and forced to surrender in 1025, and spent the rest of the war interned at the town of Burrow. 
When the war came to an end, Dean was selected as chief of the Travites after his father was executed by the Bienombes for his part in the treason of the war. Dean took up the mantle to help rebuild his tribe and their honor. He has spent the past years since the war managing the affairs of the tribe and squelching the former influence of the Church of the One Sun, which he blames for all of the catastrophes that have befallen his people.
