Nasnohloh Jike

Chairman Nasnohloh Jike

Nasnohloh Jike was born to an upper class family in the town of Pleasant, owning the two largest fisheries in the town. She was provided with a full education and even attended the Whitemarsh College of the Seas, although she was lackluster in her performance. Her time as a student at the college was marked with constant scandal in the city itself, as she was caught on multiple occasions stealing from local stores and businesses, and rumors abounded of an extortion racket manipulating the professors. These news stories and articles were buried outside of Whitemarsh itself, and she returned home to Pleasant with honors.   Shortly after her return home, Nasnohloh's parents went missing with the disappearance of an observation fishing boat on the Endless Ocean. Buffered by a wave of sympathy and support from an adoring public, she sold the family business and reinvested the funds into a political campaign. She decried the lack of safety and support provided for the town's working classes, and pledged to help renew the safety and infrastructure of the community. On these platforms, she won in a landslide.   After becoming mayor of Pleasant, Jike fulfilled some of her campaign promises, but enacted hefty taxes on the upper and middle classes, pandering to the workers. These funds helped support the numerous renovations and aid provided to both the docks and the fisheries of the town. She was soon seated within the Assembly of Towns, and began taking her policies to a higher level. She has been a avid opponent of the Sheriffs, and has sought to bring law enforcement into the jurisdiction of towns, a popular approach among her fellow mayors. She has recently become Chairman of the Assembly, a feat that has caused considerable conflict between herself and the king.
