Queen Nilanea Tenashi

Nilanea is one of the new generation of forest elves, born in the forests of the Material Plane rather than in the Feywild as those who came before her were. Her father was the one who was able to organize the elves to escape from the Feywild as it shuddered and threatened to collapse, bringing the survivors through the Feywild Gate. He was unable to keep his people together, but his efforts led to those who remained in the forests to declare him the new king of their people. He did his best to organize and build a new home that was an echo of their old one. When his wife gave birth to Nilanea, she was viewed as a vindication that the settlement in the world had been a success. 
As a young elf, Nilanea sat and watched as her father handled the disputes and affairs of state, keeping his people from destroying themselves from boredom and internal conflicts. She learned the ways of druidic magic and how to maintain the homes of her people. She grew restless after only a few hundred years of life, and eventually found her way into the patronage of several elf adventurers patrolling the borders of the nation. She joined them on occasion, patrolling through the woods and fighting the monsters that could threaten the nation. She took a pilgrimage to the ruins of the Feywild Gate and the dead forests around it. Her adventures gave her an appreciation for the world around her, which she kept when her father died and she ascended to the throne. 
As Queen, Nilanea proved to be a wise ruler, much like her father. She is a fair mediator and understanding of any side of a debate, like any true forest elf. Her restlessness continued, and she kept looking to the world beyond the woods. When the Wingo Rebellion began, she saw an opportunity and used her agents to lure the dwarven king into an agreement of alliance. She was thrilled to lead the army of the forest elves into battle against the humans, finding a way to test her strength that many elves before her had never experienced. In these battles, she proved herself as a warrior, to herself and her people. Today, she seeks to intensify the training of the elf army and to continue expanding the involvement of her people into the wider world.
