Patricia Conner
Mayor Patricia Conner
Patricia Conner was born in the city of Cleveland, and while it was often threatened by invading forces and the other hazards of the world, it was never attacked directly. Despite the lack of attacks, Patricia was exposed at an early age to bodies and wounded brought in from surrounding battlefields, and she never lost an opportunity to assist where she could, aiding clerics and doctors alike in their efforts to save the dying. Her efforts only intensified when both of her brothers and her husband were killed during the Opella War.
Patricia's help was not unnoticed, and with the death of her husband in battle, she was invited to join training for clerical work with the Church of Keshush. She undertook the various rites and pledges needed to serve with the church, and soon began learning the practices of clerics and monks alike, hoping to understand why the Sun would allow such suffering and damage to take place upon the world it created. She found herself drawn to the practices of the Order of Saint Clara, a subdivision of the Church itself. She sought to help bring life into the world and maintain it where it exists.
During her middle age, she found herself traveling abroad, assisting a group of adventurers who often delved into dangerous territories in the Apps Mountains and even far north into the Deadlands. Upon her return, she threw herself more into the work at hand. She witnessed the prosperity and growth of a new town not far from where she had grown up, Forblu. She migrated there, and became part of the clergy for the church established within the town. Her aid and efforts helped to build up a strong trust in the local Church, and she frequently would travel miles into the surrounding countryside to help out more isolated sick and pregnant women.
Despite her loyalty to the Church, Patricia was compelled to engage in the politics of Forblu, witnessing the growing divide between grocers from Cleveland and Dahlonega, fighting over the spoils of the Forblu Valley. She stood against them, and constantly lobbied on behalf of the farmers. She was frequently warned about these practices from her superiors in the Church, but she chose to ignore these warning and enter into the political sphere. She was duly elected to the position of Mayor of Forblu, promising to help maintain the town's independence and livelihood and to continue to protect the lives of the farmers of the region.
