Saru
While "Saru" expressly refers to the tribe of orcs that has joined the Sypi Confederacy, it can just as well apply to any "wild" tribe of orcs wandering the Badlands or the Apps Mountains. Saru orcs are those who have avoided integration into the Kingdom of Populres and escaped the wildness and death of the far north. They are strictly warriors and raiders, and only set up sedentary outposts when there are no other options. They are proud and strong warriors, and rarely back down from a fight or challenge. Although the numbers of Saru orcs have diminished through constant warfare, whenever caravans in the Badlands see an orc tribe on the horizon, they know to flee or face their own destruction.

Culture
Major language groups and dialects
The Saru version of orcish is what many linguists would refer to as the true version of orcish, as opposed to the type spoken the Kingdom of Populres. They have remained true to their roots and dialect, and surprisingly, despite the scattered nature of orc tribes, there is very little variance and accent changes. There is no known explanation for this phenomenon, which baffles many humans.
Art & Architecture
Orcs are a nomadic people, and they are not particularly known for artwork which is often considered a waste of time in their culture. Similarly, there are very few permanent orc structures built throughout the world, only standing stones that they raise with inscriptions of their various defeats and victories. It is said that disturbing an orc standing stone will attract the wrath and cause of the formation of a orc horde, as tribes avenge the desecration. These standing stones can be found scattered across Emicara, all at places where orcs had experience great triumph or defeat. As for their homes, orcs mostly travel in hide and leather tents, which are rarely decorated beyond the stains caused by generations of use.
Ideals
Gender Ideals
Among orc tribes there is a very distinct division of roles between males and females. Men are expected to be the brute warriors and laborers, leading the charge into combat. Women on the other hand are expected to support the combat with the various magic taught in times of peace. Some women who lack magical talent instead join into the battle as archers and scouts, but very few are welcome into the actual battle line. In peace time, both males and females are expected to aid in hunting and gathering, as well as protecting the young and preparing steadings. Similarly, leadership can be male or female, depending on the needs of the tribe at the time.
Relationship Ideals
Orcs tend to pair off as male and female for most of their lives. Typically these partnerships are formed in the same way any other race would create them, through proximity and mutual attraction. Outside of love, Saru orcs are surprisingly open to other races, at least until they get hungry. In lean times in the Badlands or mountains, the Saru orcs are known to practice cannibalism of other humanoids. Those in the Sypi Confederacy have forsworn it, but rumors almost always abound about missing people in the eastern part of the Confederacy during harsh winters. Otherwise, an orc can be a trusted friend and ally during battle, and they are typically true to their word to anyone they consider a friend.
