Simon Mendoza was born in the town of Ormond to a struggling artisan family. He found his calling in the mathematics and books of his household, helping his less competent parents manage the finances and books of the enterprise at a very young age. When he entered his teenage years, sorcerer traits began to manifest and he was recruited by the Imperial Arcane College, part of the Imperial University. He was found to be naturally talented at magic, but interest remained with mathematics. Mendoza was the bane of all those who attempted to tutor him, expressing no interest in his magical abilities, and focusing solely on the study of math. He advanced University learning of mathematics by a significant degree, but also helped developed a series of spells that aided in advanced calculations and formulas. He continues to work for the University to this day, residing in his own personal realm of spellcraft and mathematics.
