Sorcerer

Sorcerers are feared and hated throughout most of Emicara. The lack of control of their powers and inheritances make them a constant subject of persecution from institutions such as the Church of the One Sun. Typically after their powers are revealed, they flee to places like the Mersan Union or the Shin Empire, but most eventually end up in the Sypi Confederacy where they find a home with the Gibber Tribe. The Gibbers offer training and protection for sorcerers, helping them to learn to control their powers and that they are not monsters. Due to the unpredictable nature of their powers, a sorcerer can emerge in nearly any place and any race. The various types of sorcerers that emerge receive different types of treatment from their colleagues and some have an easier time integrating into society than others.   Draconic Bloodline sorcerers are uncommon as dragons mostly stay away from the younger races, due to constant wars. Past battles with dragons has led to those with some link to the dragons being ruthlessly hunted, especially by the Shin Empire and the Mersan Union. Even the Kingdom of Populres has a low opinion of these types of sorcerers, with the exception of dragonkin who are born in this way, in which case they are viewed as an existential threat and eliminated. Surprisingly, dwarves are the most likely to appear with this bloodline, emerging from the various remote mountain strongholds in the Apps Mountains.    Wild Magic sorcerers are the reason given for those who attempt to hunt and destroy these people across Emicara. Tapping into chaotic primal magic, these types of sorcerers' volatility often lead to early exposure and elimination if they are not cared for by someone as a child. No one is sure why these wild mages exist, but all are sure that they are often flames that burn very bright, and very quickly.    Divine Soul sorcerers are the only type of sorcerer that can find some shelter in civilized lands.
