Chief Tuketu Twenter

Tuketu Twenter is the chief of the Twenter Tribe within the Sypi Confederacy. He was the eldest son of his father, the prior chief of the tribe. Therefore, he was expected to gain the full knowledge of the workings of the tribe and greater Confederate politics. Tuketu was educated in the methods of production of the tribe's main chemical products and the nourishment of the plants and creatures used in their creation. Growing up, he became addicted to some of the substances, and his position allowed him nearly unlimited quantities. Despite, or perhaps because of, his addition, he began to refine and develop ways to more efficiently produce these substances for sale to other people within the Confederacy, and he was highly successful.
The death of Tuketu's father in 1013 was no surprise, as he was morbidly obese, and could barely take care of himself. Tuketu took up the reins and began aggressively marketing the products of the Twenters to the rest of the Confederacy. These efforts were highly opposed by the Church of the One Sun, and therefore it was predetermined that he would take the side of the Bienombes when the civil war broke out in 1020. The medicinal effects of the Twenter substances were touted for combat, and provided at no cost in large quantity to the warriors who joined up with the Bienombe, proving vital in many circumstances. Wealth flowed into the tribe, as more and more people became addicted and reliable customers.
In the years after the war, Tuketu has turned the wealth of the Twenters to ever greater heights, with all of the new addicts created from among the soldiers of the war. The wealth has been channeled into ever better living for Tuketu, and despite his addictions, he has begun putting on the same amount of weight as his father once had. Most other tribal leaders believe that Tuketu is not long for this world, likely to succumb to the same complications as his predecessor.
