Isles of Sand

The Isles of Sand are a far reaching span of desert islands in the Sea of Sand. It is not a specific geographic formation such as an archipelago, but rather a collective name for all of the smaller islands in the area. These islands range in size from a mile or so to 30 mi². Some of the islands are flat like plateaus but many also have other landforms such as canyons, mountains, mesas, rock pedestals, and yardangs.
